Nursing Career and Education Fair

Please join us on Monday, November 5th from 1pm to 4pm for a Nurse Career and Education Fair, to be held at the Ellis Fine Arts Center, 2108 South Horton in Fort Scott.  This event is open to the public as well as nursing, pre-nursing, and allied health students.  There will be door prize drawings for students held throughout the event.

 

FSCC Smoke-free Ex Program

Fort Scott Community College, in collaboration with Truth Initiative, announced today the EX Program, an innovative quit-smoking program designed for FSCC employees and students.  The EX Program is a comprehensive, digital smoking-cessation program designed for employers, health systems and health plans to offer to their employees or members who smoke.

FSCC Annual Business Expo

Fort Scott Community College presents the Annual Business Expo, taking place on August 22nd from 9am to 11:30am in Bailey Hall. All businesses are welcome to attend! Set up will be any time between 7:30am and 9am, refreshments will be available in the faculty lounge for businesses. Each business will get the opportunity to mingle with the students and the community is welcome as well.

Nursing Program graduates have 94.59% pass rate on NCLEX-RN for the year 2014.

Fort Scott, Kansas – The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) has released testing results for the 2014 calendar year on the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses). The Fort Scott Community College Nursing Program is please to announce a 94.59% pass rate for its graduates.

 

Career Technical Education Initiative money to Bourbon County schools.

Fort Scott, Kansas – Fort Scott Community is pleased to announce that eleven area high school students have passed the State Certified Nursing Aide exam while enrolled at FSCC with the help of Senate Bill 155. In addition to preparing for a future career in healthcare, each student has earned a thousand dollars for their school under the rules of SB 155.
