Gracee Walker, Marko Taft Receive Top Honors at FSCC Outstanding Students Ceremony

Fort Scott Community College recognized outstanding students from a wide range of academic, technical and extracurricular programs during the 2026 FSCC Outstanding Students ceremony held May 7 on the Fort Scott campus.

Students were honored for excellence in areas including agriculture, business, criminal justice, music, theatre, cosmetology, Harley-Davidson technology, John Deere technology and athletics. The annual recognition highlights student achievement across both academic transfer and career and technical education programs.

Among those recognized were Darian Dummit and Kevin Jones in John Deere Technology; Osha Coon in Education/Children’s Literature; Kyrsten White in English 101 and 102; Ryan Koch in College Algebra and Business; Jameson “Jase” Anderson in Statistics and SSC; Angela Hixon in Quantitative Reasoning; Mena Hicks and Quinton Berg in Business; and Emmanuel Ebia in Phi Theta Kappa and Psychology.

Several students were recognized in Criminal Justice, including Amiayiah Zugelder, Braxton Young, Hailie Million, Lindsey Greer and Randi Shadden. Additional honorees included Gracee Walker in Cosmetology, Bailey Couch in Softball, Caitlyn Foltz in Women’s Basketball and History, and Marko Taft in Men’s Basketball.

The ceremony also recognized Regen Wells, Jericho Jones, Jesse Dinneen, Jaedyn Lewis and Lindsey Greer in Theatre, along with Hayden Stevens and Maddie Ballou in Music. Agriculture honorees included Casey Haynes, Will Debates, Jackson Howard, Braxton Young, Quinton Berg and Esmeralda Franklin.

Additional students recognized included Hailie Edmondson in Physical Science, Amia Carr in History, Graycyn Brown as Student Ambassador and Zach Mooney in Harley-Davidson Technology.

Two students received special class honors during the event. Gracee Walker was named the FSCC Class of 2026 Outstanding CTE Sophomore, while Marko Taft was named the FSCC Class of 2026 Outstanding Sophomore.
