FSCC Hosts SEK FFA Event
Fort Scott Community College proudly hosted the Southeast Kansas FFA District Speech, Food Science, and Farm Business Management contest on campus today. A vibrant assembly of academic prowess and agricultural enthusiasm, the event attracted roughly 27 high schools from the Southeast Kansas FFA district.
The competition included Freshman to Seniors, with students passionately engaging in events such as Speech, Food Science, and Farm Business Management. The campus buzzed with activity as approximately 400 students and advisers convened to showcase their skills and knowledge.
Beyond the competition, the Student Union in Bailey Hall emerged as a comfortable retreat for students, providing a space for relaxation and camaraderie. Additionally, this event holds significance as a qualifying round for the Kansas FFA State Prepared Public Speaking and Extemporaneous Speaking Events scheduled for May, 2024 at Kansas State University.
Fort Scott Community College is thrilled to be a host for such impactful events, providing a platform for the agriculturally driven youth in the area to shine and grow.
