Free Photography Workshops
Join us for an exciting series of Photography Workshops, generously brought to you by the Gordon Parks Museum and sponsored by the Art Department of Kansas State University! Led by Shreepad Joglekar, Associate Professor of Photography at Kansas State University, and Veretta Cobler, a Professional Photographer, these workshops will offer invaluable insights into the world of film and digital photography.
Whether you’re a beginner, student, novice, or a seasoned professional, these comprehensive workshops will help you maximize the potential of your film or digital cameras, and even your cell phones. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and learn new techniques to elevate their work. We encourage interested individuals to attend the entire series to gain the most benefit from these workshops.
Moreover, these workshops will also prepare photographers to become a part of the Back to Fort Scott, Now project, where they will capture photographs in the style of Gordon Parks’ iconic images from his 1950 LIFE magazine assignment.
