Dr. Johnson is currently the Superintendent of Miami R-1 Schools in Amoret, MO and Mrs. Johnson is the district’s librarian and virtual learning liaison. They met each other at FSCC and were married between semesters of their sophomore year. They both earned their Associate of Science in education from Fort Scott Community College in 2001. During their time at FSCC, they were involved in President’s Ambassadors, FSCC Quiz Bowl Team, and Phi Theta Kappa.

After graduating from FSCC, both continued to study education earning their Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University in 2003. Dr. Johnson went on to earn his Master of Science in Educational Leadership from PSU and his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Saint Louis University in 2012. Both have been serving students and their communities for 17 years now.

In addition to careers in education, Dr. and Mrs. Johnson live and work on their family farm. With the help of their five children, Charles (18), Eli (15), Caleb (12), Maylee (8), and Kaylee (6), they spend their hours outside of school taking care of their Angus/Hereford cross cattle and tending to their fields of wheat or beans.
