Jacqueline Kay LaRue graduated from Fort Scott Community College in 2006 with honors as an Associate of Science degree recipient. While at FSCC, Jacque served as a President’s Ambassador, and as a member of the Aggie Club, the Collegiate Farm Bureau, Phi Theta Kappa Secretary, the FSCC Band, and was on the Meats Judging Team. Jacque was selected as a 2nd Team All-American meats judging student due to her academic and judging resumes. She was selected by her peers for the Rachel Hamilton Memorial Spirit Award because she demonstrated an extremely strong work ethic, a positive outlook, and a competitive, winning attitude.

After FSCC, Jacque transferred to Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education. While at K-State, she was on the Intercollegiate Meats Judging Team and earned the High Individual Alternate award at the International Meats Judging Contest by the American Meat Science Association. Other K-State activities included membership in Alpha Tau Alpha, Block and Bridle, and the Agricultural Education Club.

During her senior year at K-State, she was chosen as a Fulbright Scholar through the English Teaching Assistantship Grantee program, to teach conversational English in Korea for a year. The prestigious Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program and is supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. While in Korea, Jacque worked in the classroom and shared lesson plans with foreign teachers, worked on the farms, and met with the U.S. Ambassador to Korea.

She is currently working for the Marysville School District as an Agriculture Education teacher and is a member of the Kansas and National Association of Agricultural Educators.

Jacque was raised in Moran, Kansas, and is the daughter of Dale and Joan LaRue.
