FSCC Theatre Students to Perform During Acting Showcase

Fort Scott, Kan.—The Fort Scott Community College Theatre Department will host an acting showcase at 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, at the Danny & Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center. The event will highlight eight theatre students, including Dalton Clifton, Jason Clissold, Jackie Neher, Jared Oshel, Stephanie Rice, Kainon Roberts, Linda Shinkle, and Royce White.

During the showcase, the students will perform monologues and duet scenes. “This is a great opportunity for the students to perform a second time this fall,” said Lawrence Alford, FSCC Theatre Director. “It will also help Jason, Jared, and Stephanie prepare for their Irene Ryan Scholarship auditions.” Clissold, Oshel, and Rice were nominated to participate in the auditions due to their outstanding performances in “The Bald Soprano,” earlier this fall. The auditions will be held January 22-28 during the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Des Moines, Iowa.

The acting showcase is free and open to the public. The Danny & Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center is located at 2108 South Horton in Fort Scott, Kansas. For more information, please call Lawrence Alford at 620-223-2700, ext. 3056.
