FSCC hosts 2018 Annual Math Relays

Fort Scott, Ks.—Fort Scott Community College will be hosting the annual Math Relays November 16th starting at 9am in Bailey Hall. This contest will be represented by 22 different schools in the area, with about 417 students registered to compete. Students will compete in 10 different math versions including Online Math Test, Mental Math, Set Theory, Algebra, Simplifications, Equations & Inequalities, Geometry, Potpourri, Word Problems, and Number Theory. Each student has approximately 15 minutes to complete each test and each student may participate in no more than four events at their level or above.

 

Each category will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place placing to the highest competitor and there will be three school plaques (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place schools) awarded, donated by Brandon Malone Plumbing. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the contest at 1:00pm. Registration begins at 8:45am in Bailey Hall.
