Fort Scott, Kansas – Fort Scott Community College is pleased to announce that Masonry Instructor, Nacoma Oehme, has been asked to judge the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bricklayer 500 is part of the February 4 Masonry Madness Day during the World of Concrete tradeshow.

Spec Mix writes of the Bricklayer 500, “Twenty-four of the top bricklayers in the world go all out for 60 minutes in this test of speed, skill and stamina.”

Oehme will join the event’s judges as journeymen bricklayers from the U.S., Canada and Australia vie for over $100,000 in cash and prizes. The prizes include a 2015 Ford F-250 4×4 Super Duty XLT truck.

Oehme said of judging, “This is going to be an awesome competition. The prizes are fantastic, but the pride of winning is going to drive these bricklayers to lay a lot of bricks.”

Oehme will be judging one of four events at Masonry Madness. Other events include the MCAA Fastest Trowel on the Block contest; The Spec Mix Toughest Tender contest; and the MCAA Masonry Skills Challenge.
