PTK inducts fifty-six FSCC students

Fort Scott, Kansas – The Fort Scott Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (Alpha Theta Omega) inducted fifty-six new students. Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society that recognizes the academic achievements of students attending two-year colleges.

 

Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa after completing 12 credit hours and earning a 3.5 GPA or higher. The honor society focuses on four hallmarks at the local, regional and international levels: leadership, service, scholarship and fellowship.

 

Students inducted this semester include: Jennifer Allen, Margaret Baker, Kaylee Bart, Caleb Bellmyer, Cooper Belt, Susan Benson, Jamie Bond, Brianna Laver, Logan Brill, Nicole Brooks, Regina Casner, Rashade Chester, Preston Church, Lauren Cline, Trevor Cluck, Gabe Durney, Amber Ellis, Britton Francis, Caleb Gazaway, Chase Gleason, Dominick Goodwin, James Grizzle, Callahan Grund, Torrie Hathaway, Kristen Havron, Kaylee Hill, Zach Holman, Luke Holt, Leighton Jaro, Cody Kendall, Brandon Kincheloe, Creshae’ Knight, Nicholas Manago, Shannon McLachlan, Nathan Methvin, Huy Nguyen, Shyn Nhuien Tkhe, Kris Nickelson, Fallyn Ozbun, Bobby Rook, Malik Sams, Ashley Sayre, Alissa Schroeder, Elijha Shelite, Emily Shinn, Mercedes Smith, Harold Spieth, Colton Stark, Andrew Tanous, Emily Thorp, Dwight Tucker, Mikayla Ussery, Benjamin Weis, Kylie Wilson and Becca Young.

 

Josh Budd, Phi Theta Kappa advisor, said, “I am pleased to see FSCC students take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.” Budd added that Phi Theta Kappa members benefit from automatic scholarships if they transfer to a four-year school.
