FSCC Rodeo Team to Host 35th Annual Spring College Rodeo
Fort Scott, Kan.—The Fort Scott Community College Rodeo Team will host its 35th annual Spring College Rodeo Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6. Kansas and Oklahoma students will compete in the exciting, action-packed event. “I look forward to seeing the hard work that the students put in to hosting this rodeo pay off,” said Chad Cross, FSCC Head Rodeo Coach. “These kids are proud of their team, which helps them rise to the top and be more competitive. They support each other every day and come together as a team even more during the rodeo.”
The FSCC Spring Rodeo will take place at Arnold Arena 7:30 pm Friday, March 4; 1:30 and 7:30 pm Saturday, March 5; and 1:00 pm Sunday, March 6. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for FSCC students, $3 for children ages 6 – 12, and free for children age 5 and under. “We are excited for this event and hope the community will come out to support their FSCC Rodeo Team,” said Cross. Additionally, the rodeo team is currently selling tickets for a registered AQHA bay gelding, which was donated by Wayne and Julie Hall. Tickets can be purchased from rodeo team members, FSCC Head Rodeo Coach Chad Cross, or FSCC Assistant Rodeo Coach Cali Griffin. The drawing will take place during the short run on Sunday, March 6. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit scholarships for the rodeo students. For more information, contact FSCC Head Rodeo Coach Chad Cross at 620-223-2700 ext. 7020.
