No scores are needed for the first 6 hours of concurrent classes unless taking English, Math or Physical Science classes. Prior to enrolling in College Physics I: Non Calculus, the student is required to have taken or be enrolled in College Algebra.

For a student to enroll in English 101:

If the average is above 76 even though one of the scores is below the cut off limit.

Example:

Perhaps a student scores 66 on the reading portion but then scores 88 on writing. The average would be 66+88= 154/2= 77, which is above the average range (OK for English 101).

Or 90 on reading and 68 on writing. Average 90+68=158/2=79, which makes English 101 the right class.
