FSCC Nursing Department Celebrates Spring 2026 Pinning Ceremony

Fort Scott Community College honored its Spring 2026 nursing graduates during a Nursing Pinning Ceremony recognizing the students’ completion of the nursing program and their transition into the healthcare profession.

The ceremony featured remarks and presentations from FSCC nursing faculty and staff, including Director of Nursing Vickie Laderer, Nursing Instructor Toni Bollinger, Nursing Instructor Cecilia Kroen, and Clinical Instructor Irene Bradbury. The event also included presentations of awards, professional recognition, the presentation of pins to graduates, and the traditional presentation of roses.

Students recognized as Spring 2026 graduate nurses included Hailie Atwood, McKenzie Belcher, Nathaly Hernandez, Abigail Hirt, Madolyn Honn, Hailey Jones, Michele Moran, Heather Raglin and Jaden Wiggans.

During the ceremony, the Student Nurse Organization was recognized, and awards for first-level and second-level professionalism were presented to students demonstrating leadership, professionalism and dedication throughout the program.

The pinning ceremony is a longstanding nursing tradition symbolizing the completion of nursing education and the beginning of a graduate’s professional career in healthcare. Family members, friends, faculty and supporters attended the event to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduates.
