Below is the housing available that you previously selected in the Housing Application. Prices are by semester and FSCC offers different payment plans if your room and board is not fully covered by PELL or student loans.

  • Boileau Hall-Co-Ed-Suite Style- $3,510/Semester- Includes 19 meals per week-three meals daily Monday-Friday and two meals on Saturday and Sunday. No meals are served when the campus is closed.
  • Garrison Apartments- Off Campus- $3,515/Semester-Includes 7-meal plan. No meals are served when the campus is closed.
  • Greyhound Hall-Co-Ed-Residence Hall Room Style-$3,855/Semester- Includes Private Room (if available) and 19 meals per week – three meals daily Monday-Friday and two meals on Saturday and Sunday. No meals are served when the campus is closed. If private occupancy is not available, the double-occupancy rate will be $3,190, which also includes the 19 meals per week.
  • Students may also purchase an off campus meal plan by emailing Alyssa Martin with their request. Her email is alyssam@fortscott.edu.
  • The Greyhound Lodge-Off Campus-Hotel Style–$2515/Semester-Includes required 7- meal plan. Students in the John Deere program will be charged by the amount of weeks the student is at school for the duration of their program.

Payment options include:

  • Payment in full – semester payment will be due on or before August 17th and January 18th
  • Payment plan – make arrangements with the FSCC
  • Business Office by calling 620.223.2700 ext. 5090. You can make payments through your student GIZMO account.

Failure to meet the above payment obligations may result in meal services being interrupted and removal from the residence halls. Rates are based on double occupancy, with the exception of Greyhound Hall.

This contract is for a housing and food service and is binding for the entire 2024-2025 school year, beginning August 17, 2023, and ending May 16, 2024. The signer is financially obligated for the total amount as outlined below. The signed contract, medical form, and vehicle registration from (if applicable) must be submitted by July 1, 2024 to hold the reservation for the 2024-2025 school year. The contract is for 19 meals per week – three meals daily Monday through Friday and two meals on Saturday and Sunday. No meals are served when the campus is closed.

Placement Process

After completion of the housing application and payment of the housing application fee, students will receive an email that they have been accepted into housing or put on the waitlist. Once you are accepted into housing, FSCC housing staff will pick your roommate based on your answers to the questions above. Remember roommate requests ARE NOT GUARRENTEED. If you would like to change your housing preferences or roommate request after submitting this, please email alyssam@fortscott.edu. Changes can be made up until June 24th. Room assignments are final and there for unalterable after June 24th. Room assignments will be released the first week of July to students who have completed all of their paperwork. After moving in, any students unhappy with their room or roommate may contact the housing office to see if room changes are possible.

All residents are expected to comply with all policies and procedures as stated in the FSCC Housing Handbook. FSCC has the right to refuse placement to students who have previously been placed on probation or suspension for any previous violations of the FSCC Housing Handbook.

I understand that if I decide I do not want to live in FSCC housing, it is my responsibility to contact the school to inform them of my decision and accept the consequences if I don’t.

Terms and Conditions of the Contract

1. PARTIES AND AGREEMENTS

This contract is an agreement between Fort Scott Community College, hereinafter referred to as “The College,” and the student. If the student is under 18 years of age at the time of signing this contract, this contract is also an agreement between the College and his/her parents, guardian, or other guarantor. The parties to this contract in consideration of the mutual covenants and regulations set out herein agree as follows:

A. College Obligations

The College agrees to furnish a dorm room and food service to the student in accordance with the terms of this contract.

B. Student Obligations

The student (if under 18, the parent, guardian, or other guarantor) agrees to pay the College a dorm room and food service fee in accordance with the terms of this contract. The student also agrees to pay such fees and charges as required by the terms of this contract.

C. Right to Refuse

The College reserves the right to refuse to accept a Dorm Contract where appropriate supporting circumstances exist.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All full-time students are eligible to reside in a dorm. A full-time student is defined as one enrolled in 12 hours or more and paying full tuition and fees. All eligible students must maintain a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of at least 2.00. Exceptions must be approved by the Dean of Student Services.

3. REQUIRED FEES

An application fee of $125.00 must be paid before a Residence Hall Contract will be processed. This fee is non-refundable.

4. PAYMENT, LATE FEES, STATEMENTS

A. Payment Schedule

Payments are due as specified in this contract. Unpaid charges may result in meal service interruptions or dorm eviction procedures.

B. Account Access

Students can access account balances via their GIZMO account on the FSCC website.

16. RESTITUTION

Full and complete reimbursement for damage, destruction, or misappropriation of property is required. Failure to arrange restitution may result in further sanctions.
