FSCC Softball Program to host summer camps

Fort Scott, Kan.—The Fort Scott Community College Softball Program will host two summer day camps to help students enhance their softball skills. The camp for students ages six to 13 will be held on Thursday, June 22, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The camp for students ages 14 to 18 will be held on Thursday, July 6, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration for each camp will begin at 7:30 am at the Betty Ruth Willard Softball Complex in Fort Scott, Kan.
 
Campers will receive instruction from the FSCC softball coaching staff and alumni on fundamentals including hitting, throwing, and base running as well as defensive and offensive techniques. The fee is $30 per student and includes a t-shirt. Students will also have the opportunity to receive autographs from current and former Lady Greyhounds.

 

Students will need to bring cleats or tennis shoes, softball pants or shorts, long socks, fielding glove, and water bottle. It is also recommended that students bring a batting helmet, bat, towel, and an extra pair of socks.
