FSCC Hosts 21 High Schools During Math Contest

Fort Scott, Kan.—On Thursday, October 13, Fort Scott Community College hosted 309 students from 21 schools at its seventh annual Math Relays event. Students had the opportunity to compete in up to four of the twelve math contests, which included mental math, equations and inequalities, computational math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability and statistics, potpourri, simplifications, set theory, word problems, and number theory.

 

In the small school division, Uniontown High School placed first, Drexel High School placed second, and Prairie View High School placed third. In the large school division, College Heights Christian School won first place, Basehor-Linwood High School placed second, and Olathe Northwest High School placed third.
