FSCC Welcomes ITT Tech Students

Fort Scott, Kan.—On Tuesday, September 6, ITT Technical Institute announced that it would be closing its 135 campuses nationwide. Fort Scott Community College is committed to assisting former ITT Tech students.

FSCC, a public and nonprofit college, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. FSCC offers a variety of options for former ITT Tech students who wish to transfer and continue their education. FSCC offers associate degree and certificate programs that are similar to ITT Tech’s offerings, such as construction technology, criminal justice, and nursing. In addition, students who were pursuing an associate degree may be able to earn credit for prior learning and complete their degree at FSCC. The College offers late-start courses for the fall semester and the next nursing program will begin in January 2017.

FSCC staff are available to assist students by reviewing transcripts, financial aid, and available academic options. Interested students should contact FSCC Advising at 800-874-3722, ext. 3630 for more information.
